Introducing our CSI simulation, an immersive exploration into the world of crime scene investigation. In this intricate simulation, users take on the role of a police officer, equipped with a range of forensic tools to process a complex crime scene. The simulation offers both a PC and VR version, delivering an engaging and realistic experience regardless of platform preference. From dusting for fingerprints to collecting evidence, each task meticulously mirrors real-world CSI procedures, providing users with a glimpse into the intriguing field of forensic science.
As the project lead and primary programmer, I was responsible for the conception, development, and refinement of the majority of systems in the simulation. My contributions included designing the user interactions, developing the forensic tools, and implementing the evidence collection and analysis systems. My role also involved coordinating the development between the PC and VR platforms, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience on both. The completion of this CSI simulation reflects the power of immersive simulations in education and the potential of VR and PC platforms in providing diverse and engaging experiences.
