Project Overview

Skillfite IO is a competitive multiplayer game project where players engage in skill-based battles. As the lead programmer, I was responsible for core gameplay systems, networking, and ensuring a smooth, engaging player experience. The project challenged me to optimize performance and create scalable, maintainable code for a live multiplayer environment.

Major Contributions

  • Complete fishing overhaul with new fish tiers and merchant logic.
  • Combat rework including attack-combo system and hit-stun effects.
  • Implemented ghost possession feature with life-steal and AI hand-off.
  • Developed Battle-Royale circle system with shrinking zones and end-game logic.
  • Designed loot tables and rarity systems for dynamic gameplay.
  • Enhanced UI/UX with central-menu tabs and task/quest UI improvements.
  • Optimized networking with new server endpoints and client reconnection flow.
